Mr. Wang Hongyu graduated from the Nankai University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and was awarded with a master’s degree (LLM) in 2002 from the University College London where he studied maritime law. He worked with the People’s Insurance Company of China Tianjin Branch from 1989 to 1995 as a correspondent of all major P&I Clubs. He joined Wang Jing & Co. in 1995, and worked with Holman Fenwick Willan from 2002 to 2005 before he rejoined Wang Jing & Co. in Shanghai as the senior partner in 2005. In 2017 he joined Heng Xin Law Office as a partner. Mr. Wang Hongyu advises shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs, H&M underwriters and other ship interests with a particular focus on admiralty and maritime disputes.
Having studied abroad and worked with an international law firm, Mr. Wang Hongyu acquires a unique international vision, and having practiced law for years, Mr. Wang Hongyu gains considerable experience in attendance before maritime courts, maritime safety administrations, and many other governmental authorities in China.
