Mr. Wang Hongyu graduated from the Nankai University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and was awarded with a master’s degree (LLM) in 2002 from the University College London where he studied maritime law. He worked with the People’s Insurance Company of China Tianjin Branch from 1989 to 1995 as a correspondent of all major P&I Clubs. He joined Wang Jing & Co. in 1995, and worked with Holman Fenwick Willan from 2002 to 2005 before he rejoined Wang Jing & Co. in Shanghai as the senior partner in 2005. In 2017 he joined Heng Xin Law Office as a partner. Mr. Wang Hongyu advises shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs, H&M underwriters and other ship interests with a particular focus on admiralty and maritime disputes.
Mr. Fei Jun graduated from the Law School of the Dalian Maritime University in 1996. He worked with China Ocean Shipping Agency Shanghai Branch from 1996 to 2004. Thereafter, he worked with Wang Jing & Co. Shanghai Office (from 2004 to 2016) and Zhong Lun Law Firm (from 2016 to 2019) as a licensed lawyer. In May 2019 he joined Heng Xin Law Office. Mr. Fei Jun advises insurance companies, P&I Clubs, shipping companies, trading companies, freight forwarders, manufacturing companies and other clients at home and abroad on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters, and has abundant experience in litigation and arbitration before various Chinese courts and arbitration commissions.
Chen Haoran graduated from investment and economics school of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics with bachelor’s degree in economics in 1997 and minored in law. After graduation, he was retained as a legal consultant of Dalian Yida Group. He obtained legal profession qualification certificate in 1997. In 1998, Chen Haoran went to Japan to study in the international social science research school of Yokohama National University and obtained a master’s degree. After graduation, he once practiced in a large law firm of Japan and afterwards in a multinational finance enterprise. He joined Heng Xin Law Office in 2006. Since January 2014, lawyer Chen has been acting as an executive partner of Heng Xin Shanghai Office. Lawyer Chen is primarily engaged in foreign-related legal matters. He provides legal services to foreign investment companies in their Japanese related business regarding incorporation, contract review, labor management and dispute resolution, disposition of corporate credit and debt, finance and insurance. Lawyer Chen has extensive practical experiences.
Ma Sijiu, awarded with JM, is a graduate of the prestigious Intellectual Property Institute of Shanghai University. He obtained the Legal Profession Qualification and the Patent Agent Qualification in 2012 and 2014 separately. From 2008 to 2012, he successively worked as an assistant to Automatic Engineer in an Electrochemical Group, and practiced in a procuratorate and then practiced in a law firm to deal with the IPR affairs, IP criminal cases, patent applications. From 2012 to 2015, he served as the IPR Supervisor in one of the world's top 500 companies (China HQ), mainly responsible for IP Risk and Countermeasures, IP Creation and Utilization, IP Assets Management, Anti-unfair Competition, and the related legal services. In 2015, he joined the Heng Xin team. Ma Sijiu has extensive experience in foreign-related intellectual property law,and has substantial knowledge in the corporate cultures and operational characteristics of the foreign enterprises. He is an expert in patent documents drafting, application, OA response, invalidation, reexamination, infringement litigation, patent search, and legal consultation in the field of industry automation and related fields.
Mr. Li Shuai graduated from the Dalian Maritime University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Navigation. He worked onboard merchant vessels engaged in ocean trading for more than ten years and obtained the qualification of master mariner. Following the career at sea, he attended Shanghai Maritime University, graduating there in 2018 with a master’s degree in maritime law. He then joined Wang Jing & Co., and worked there until the end of 2021. In 2022, he joined Heng Xin Law Office. Thanks to his navigation experience, Mr. Li Shuai has participated in the handling of many complex collision accidents and achieved excellent results.
Ms. Ruan Huiling graduated from the Shanghai Maritime University with a bachelor’s degree in Law in 2011 and took extra courses in Journalism in Fudan University. In 2012, she was awarded with a master’s degree (LLM) from the Bristol University where her study focused on commercial law. Ms. Ruan Huiling had been worked in Wang Jing & Co., Shanghai Office from 2013 to 2016. In 2017, thereafter she joined Heng Xin Law Office. Ms. Ruan Huiling advises shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs, H&M underwriters and other ship interests with a particular focus on admiralty and maritime disputes.
