Mr. Bai graduated from the law school of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, in 2004. During long periods of law practicing career, he has been providing comprehensive legal advisory services to a number of companies listed on stock exchanges of both domestic and foreign markets, with a focus on foreign trade and cross-border investment & financing related legal work.
Mr. Bai was once employed by ZTE as a financing supervisor in the financing department, during which time, based on comprehensive knowledge and skill in the fields of law, finance and accounting, he participated in the design and arrangement of financing plans at corporate top-level, assisted in analyzing client’s credit & financial status and conducting project feasibility research, he also carried out financing related legal work such as negotiating with major international telecommunication operators and financial institutions, managing legal and compliance risks relating to financing projects, etc.
Mr. Bai has represented both local and international clients in a number of large-scale commercial projects, such as serving as government counsel in the 2.5 billion USD investment project of Intel Asia Holding Ltd, in Dalian, the construction project of one semi-submersible GM4000 unit of COSCO Shipyard, the IPO project of Dalian Sunlight Company Ltd (securities no. 002621), the merger project of SAS LAFOREST Co. of France by Dalian Haichang Group, the issuance of credit enhanced Bonds by Asia Pacific Ports Development Company Limited at Hongkong, the sale of Dalian subsidiary by ITOCHU of Japan, and the like. He also travelled to Europe, North America, Africa and Northeast Asia to handle legal affairs on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Bai acquired following relevant qualifications: Chinese Lawyer’s Qualification Certificate, Certified Public Accountant’s (CPA) certificate of China (professional level), passed all exams of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of England (ACCA), passed Level 2 of USA’s Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam, and acquired N1 level certificate of Japanese Language Proficiency Test of Japan.
